Bandhan will run the said project, partnership with Alliance India (Principal Recipient) and SAATHII (Sub-recipient) with funding support from GFATM. Main objectives of this intervention are: a) To strengthen community systems that reach MSM, Hijra and Transgender communities, b) To increase the number of beneficiaries reached by such systems; c) To strengthen the relevant health system resources and d) To increase knowledge and advocacy for MSM, Hijra and Transgender communities. The Counsellor position requires an individual who has broad knowledge and experience in issues related to HIV/AIDS, gender and sexuality and mental health. The principal role of the Counsellor will be to provide counseling in various issues related to HIV/AIDS, gender and sexuality; s/he will also facilitate the process of capacity building of Outreach Workers, will monitor the weekly plan and maintain registers.

1) Project Manager- One (1) Approx Salary -7,500/-Qualification – Masters in Social Science (MSW, MA in Sociology etc). Experienced candidate will be given preference

Key Functions:


Assistant Programme Manager should:
• Assist the Programme Manager organize and oversee the complete process of setting up the Global Fund Round 9 TB project in the districts and states assigned to VHAI.
• Supervise and mentor the District Coordinators, ensuring that program activities are carried out in a timely manner and with attention to quality
• Visit project sites as needed to supervise the site and organize discussions with the NGOs and local district authorities.
• Assist the Programme Manager establish and manage relationships with other NGO’s, government officials and local authorities; schedule and attend meetings with them to coordinate planning and implementation of projects.
• Complete detailed written reports in a timely basis regarding the status and progress of each district. Periodically review the performance of each District and provide regular feedback and support to increase programme efficiency.
• Provide regular updates on program activities and plans at regular meetings
• Assist the Programme Manager document best practices and lessons learned during field work and share with other project sites, relevant local staff.
• Assist the Programme Manager assess strategies to enhance the project’s impact and sustainability in the NGOs and communities, with particular focus on improving ACSM for tuberculosis in the community.
• Assist in conducting monitoring and evaluation of identified project partners in the field and follow through with recommendations for improvement
• Assist the Programme Manager to ensure that programmatic and financial records are in a constant state of readiness for inspection by the Principal Recipient, Local Fiduciary Agent or any other Global Fund representative.
• Conduct supportive supervisory visits.
• Participate in any other activities which may be required to be undertaken to fulfill the objectives of the organization
• Other tasks assigned by the PM or VHAI HQ.

Personal Skills:


• S/he should have good communication in English & Hindi and documentation skills and ability to achieve results in a time-bound manner.
• Ability to work independently, good judgment skills.
• Ability to transfer knowledge through formal and informal training.
• Willing to work additional hours as and when required.
• Ability to take a travel of 15-20 days a month around 7 States in 37 districts.
• Sound understanding of ACSM- Advocacy, Communication & Social Mobilisation
• Knowledge of TB, HIV & TB-HIV is essential
• Experience of working in RNTCP/ NACO Projects will be preferred
• Ability to motivate team members & work in multi disciplinary team
• Ability to work under pressures & meeting deadlines
• Excellent computer skills
• Diplomacy, Inter personal communications skills
• Readiness for taking challenges

Work would also entail documentation of field processes. S/He should have an understanding and Knowledge of Child Rights like CRC, PITA, IPC, Child Labour Act, JJ, etc. S/He should be able to conduct group activities. S/He should be able to build and strengthen Children's Organization.
